Southview's 7th Annual Women's Retreat, June 7 - 9, 2013 at Camp Caroline, Caroline, Alberta
Our Theme Is Joy! | The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy! Psalm 126:3
Purpose | To provide our women with the opportunity to develop deeper friendships with God and one another.
Speaker | Kathy Morales is a gifted teacher and conference speaker who has a passion for introducing people to Jesus. She loves to facilitate opportunities for women to experience personal and spiritual growth. Kathy is the Women's Ministry leader at the Canadian National Baptist Convention. She also serves on-call as a corporate chaplain for Outreach Canada. Recently widowed, she cherishes the time she spends with her four daughters, three sons-in-law and five grandchildren. Kathy's husband Jesse was a church planter and pastor 15 years before his death in 2009. She misses being a ministry wife.
Worship Leader | Amanda Shareski, a member of the imago dei worship team.
Activities | Chocolate demonstration and tasting, fun fitness classes, chalk painting, connecting with other women, reading, swimming, snoozing, walking and enjoying nature!
Transportation | Please plan to carpool as parking at the camp is limited. Sharing the cost of gas is recommended - approx. $8 - $10 per passenger. A map is available online or will be made available prior to departure. It takes about 2 hours to get to Camp Caroline from SW Calgary; please plan to be there by 8:00 pm on Friday evening. For your full enjoyment and relaxation, we encourage you to stay for the entire weekend and refrain from coming and going.
Accommodation | Creek Side Lodge (sleeps 8, shared bathroom in hall)
What To Bring | Sleeping bag or bedding, pillow, toiletries (including towels and soap), indoor and outdoor footwear, Bible, notebook, pens, book/games/crafts, insect repellent, bathing suit, $5 - $20 for optional leisure activities.
What Not To Bring | Perfumed items, alcohol, your daytimer, your significant other or kids.
