Event Description:
“Hope and A Future” – A Celebration of Haïti is an inspirational, cultural experience. The event explores the beauty and richness of Haitian culture as a variety of international and national cultural artists representing such genres as jazz, R&B, inspirational, rock, and Haitian music along with dancers, spoken word artists and others take center stage in celebration of Haitian Heritage Month. The Celebration promises to bring a part of Haïti to the the New York and tri-state area by introducing everyone to the C2C “Ayiti Marché”. The “Ayiti Marché” is a Haitian marketplace, which will be located in the lobby and mezzanine of Christian Cultural Center featuring Caribbean and American businesses, organizations and artisans. Artisans and vendors will offer information of interest to the Haitian and Caribbean community, samples of delectable Haitian fare by local Haitian restaurants, and art and photo gallery displays with music played throughout.
