Jimmy O'Shea is a member of the Sammie's Hall of Fame with the Sacramento legendary funk band "Funkengruven" and currently a member of one of the most successful Bay Area cover bands "Pop Fiction." Over the past 30 years, Jimmy has played, recorded, and toured with some of the biggest names in the business including guitar super legends Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions), Greg Howe (Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake), Marty Friedman (Megadeth, Cacophony), Michael Lee Firkins and Jason Becker (David lee Roth, Cacophony). He is also featured in the documentary, "Not Dead Yet" the Jason Becker story.
Jimmy has been teaching bass for over 16 years. Jimmy helps his students build a strong foundation focusing on technique and creativity while emphasizing the balance between rhythm and melody; giving his students the tool of confidence to interact with other musicians regardless of their current level.
