PYPM Poetry Slam Finals! (May 4)
The Philly Youth Poetry Movement invites you to the 2013 PYPM Slam Poetry Finals, where 10 incredible Philadelphia youth poets will be competing for six spots to make the 2013 PYPM Youth Slam Team. The team will represent Philadelphia at the annual, Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam in Chicago this summer, which includes 50 other youth poetry teams from around the world. PYPM will be returning to Brave New Voices as 2011 & 2007 World Champions, and after coming in second place last year.
PYPM Slam Poetry Finals is our biggest event of the year and the culminating event from our Youth Night Slam Season. Poets who made finals competed from September to March, in our monthly slam.
JOIN US for an amazing evening of soul lifting poetry, while supporting the powerful youth voices of our city!

Date: Saturday, May 4
Time: Doors open at 5:30PM, Show begins 6PM (SHARP).
Location: Philadelphia Museum of Art, Van Pelt Auditorium. Please use West Entrance.
Parking: Free parking in museum garage is available. Tickets will be validated.
ADMISSION: This is a ticketed event. Purchase tickets here or at the door.
***NOTE: We expect a packed house, please get there early. Last year 400 people attended, we expect more this year. Seating is first come, first serve.
About: PYPM Slam Team and Brave New Voices
The 2013 PYPM Youth Slam Team, plus six additional youth poets who have demonstrated commitment to the organization and their community will get to experience Brave New Voices in Chicago this summer. More than a competition, Brave New Voices is an opportunity for Philadelphia youth to meet other youth poets and leaders from around the world, while participating in workshops, lectures, conferences, and other events that promote youth voice and leadership. Brave New Voices will be held from August 7-11.
