Introduction to Kettlebell Training 101:

 

 

Kettlebells are a time tested training tool, dated back several centuries, that incorporate the body as a whole unit and develop strength, endurance, athletic conditioning and promote movement quality and time efficient training. From beginners to the advanced athlete, kettlebells are a perfect training tool to add to your life and the lives of your clients.

Dave MacLean is a senior instructor under Canada's leading kettlebell authority and first certification body, Agatsu Inc. Coached and mentored under the world renown Agatsu training system by Canada's first kettlebell instructor and Agatsu President, Shawn Mozen, Dave is considered among the top trainers in the country and is 1 of 7 members of the Elite Agatsu team in Canada.

 

This workshop is geared to take anyone from the beginner to the advanced through a deep understanding of the foundational basics of kettlebell training. Topics taught will include:

 

- A deep understanding of the true benefits of kettlebell training

- A solid knowledge of vital kettlebell training safety procedures

- A workmanlike grasp of the fundamentals of biomechanics—to ensure your clients move with perfect form and avoid injury

- The ability to competently perform the three foundational kettlebell exercises (the Swing, the Goblet Squat and the Press)

- The confidence you can now correctly teach the three essential kettlebell exercises—and troubleshoot common technique problems

- The Deadlift, the most "functional" exercise of all

- Variations of swings (1-arm swing, hand-to-hand swing)

- Movement preparation and proper full body warm ups

- Active recovery exercises

- The top 2 bodyweight exercises to add to your training routine

- The importance of joint-mobility training

 

Held at Kawartha Lakes Fit Body Boot Camp, this workshop will be the first step in a new direction of training methods for you and your clients.
