Event Description:
Join us for a day of dance to benefit the Emergency Fund for Student Dancers (EFSD)! EFSD's 23rd Annual Benefit Concert will feature performances by its member schools: The Ailey School, The Dance Theatre of Harlem School, The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, the Limón Institute, and Peridance Capezio Center's Certificate Program and Youth Ensemble. New and original works by legendary, as well as up and coming, choreographers and respected faculty from participating schools will also be showcased, including: Roman Omar de Jesus, Martha Graham, Jose Limón, Manuel Vignoulle, Sidra Bell, and more.
The EFSD’s Annual Benefit Concert, described as “one of the happiest dance rituals in town” by The New York Times, brings together and strengthens relationships between the junior companies of the leading professional New York schools. This event is special to the New York dance community as participants and attendees gather with passion and purpose to raise money for full-time dance students and faculty of member schools who are in emergency or crisis situations.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students (with valid ID) and seniors.
